We are the champions, my friends!

Team F - 31
Team A - 29

In the QAC League Final, Team F delivered a thrilling victory over the strange characters of Team A. Do you know why we pulled it off? Because we're brave, that's why.

Things were not looking great from the start. Our shots weren't falling, and we couldn't hit a free throw to save our lives. Fortunately, our defense was solid, as usual, and it kept us in the game. We trailed most of the game, but never by more than seven points. We finally tied it up at one point in the second half, but then went down 7 again with only a few minutes left. At that point, our defense stepped it up, and Team A never scored again. With less than 2 minutes left, down two, without the ball, Ryan drew a moving screen call - Oscar-worthy, really. A wide-open Spinelli layup tied the game. Our tenacious D stopped them with 20 seconds left to set up what will no doubt show up on ESPN Classic in a few years. Hamblett (Ryan) dribbled the length of the court with Wood and Spinelli filling the lanes. Hamblett drove the lane, only to make the unlikely dish to Will "the Stilt," who banked in a 12-footer to win it. It was shocking and heroic.

Final record: 11-2; Regular Season Champs; Playoff Champs

The Spring QAC league starts in April and Team F has been invited back to defend our title. We are seeking a sponsor from Alumni Cafe - our regular post-game spot. A final thanks to the ref...for being a complete douchebag.

Regular Season Champs!

Team F - 54
Team B - 48

With a victory over Team B on Tuesday, Team F clinched the QAC League regular season championship, finishing with a record of 10-2. Team F has a bye in the last week of regular season action. Team A may also finish with a 10-2 record. However, since we split in the head-to-head matchups, the tiebreaker comes down to point differential in those head-to-head games, and F wins that tiebreaker by 2 points. If the ref disagrees, he can go F himself.

With a bye in the final week of the regular season, F awaits its matchup in the League Finals on January 23rd @ 8:00 p.m. - a rubber match against Team A.

Final regular season standings to be posted next week.
